Your hosts, Melanie and Uwe, have elegantly combined the rustic qualities of traditional Cape Dutch living with the splendour of sophisticated, yet uncluttered modern living.
4-heaven is located on the serene outskirts of Somerset West, a historically rich and residential town close to Cape Town. The surroundings are dominated by natural Cape fynbos, vineyards and the imposing, rugged slopes of the Helderberg Mountains that wind their way down to a coastline of warm water and sandy beaches.
Somerset West’s climate is nearly mediterranean – warm summers with just a few rainy days. A gentle breeze coming up from the nearby sea keeps the temperature at a moderate, comfortable level in the hot African midsummer and – even in wintertime – the temperature averages at 20° C on sunny days.
The guesthouse is centrally located to all the major attractions in the Western Cape: Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Franschoek, Hermanus, Paarl and Gordon’s Bay - as well as golf-courses, vineyards, restaurants and the beach can be reached shortly, making the 4-heaven guesthouse the ideal place to stay.
